fazail e amal ki haqeeqat Reality and Exposed Propaganda by Deviated Muslim Groups mistakes

1.Fazail e Amaal is collection of Nine books in two volume on virtues/Fazail of different acts like Salat, Quran, Rememberance of Allah, Dawah o Tabligh, Fasting and Ramzan, Haj and Umrah, Charity and Huququl Ibad (Personal Social relation and Obligations).Two other books are Stories of Sahaba and Present Degeneration of Muslims and its Remeady.

2.The purpose of Fazail e Amaal to encourage muslim to be connected with Quranic Life.Fazail/virtues of acts/worship strengthen belief on the Rewards of Allah e.g. If I pray Salat with Jamaat/congregation Allah will give reward 27 times more, strong belief on the promises of Allah is the key for moving towards Quranic commands and Islamic way of life.

3.In Fazail e Amaal On each Topic Quranic Ayats Ahadith has been put together with great efforts by Sheikhul Hadith(Person who teaches Bukhari Shareef) Maulana Muhammad Zakariyya (Rah), one of the most distinguished scholar of Islamic World of Last century.
4.In covering different topics Hadhrat sheikh has mentioned Hadith touching the collateral topics also. For example if Hadith is about Salat in which some mention about Child Family Tarbiat (Care) has been done. Then sheikh in commentary will give the related Ahadith about Family Care also. This has made the book very useful and effective for encouraging towards Quranic Life.The millions of people benefiting from, is a reflection of Allah acceptance for the book and writer.


3.Without any doubt Fazail e Amaal has benefited hundreds of millions all over the world not only giving Ilm but connecting them with Quranic Life. Islam is a way of Life and not a philosophy and Practical Islamic life is very important for spreading Islam.

5.Although Sheikhul hadith Maulana Zakaria has written Fazail e Amaal in accordance with the principles laid down by Great Imams/Scholars on issues like use of weak Ahadith for encouragement, etc.........Even Imam Bukhari R.A.has used weak Ahadith in his book Al Adabul mufrad as it was a book of Fazail, Same case with Ibne Taimmiya R.A. also..................
Sheikh Zakaria himself was an scholar of Bukhari, taught Bukhari Shareef for nearly 20 years in India and Madeena, he even has done scholary work on it ..........................................some muslim groups has some reservation on certain aspect like weak Ahadith etc. These issues are broad in ummat and not only related with book Fazail e Amaal and almost all Muhaddith/Imam among Salafus Salehin has agreed that weak Ahadith are permissible in Virtues/targeeb/Encouragement. Still...........

if someone is not Comfortable with Fazail e Amaal.He may go in Jamaat/take part in the Dawah effort of Tablighi Jamaat without using Fazaile Amaal.They may use other books as below mentioned...........

Some Groups/Brothers make a Propaganda and claim that Fazail E Amaal is only book read in Tablighi Jamaat and Ijtema.

1.First of all in Weekly Ijtema Fazail e Amaal is not read at all. In weekly Ijtema Ahadith and life of prophet and Sahaba (collected in book Hayatus Sahaba) is Read Only.

2.For Individual Taleem You can chose Tafseer/Hadith/any Islamic Book of Your choice.

3.When you are in Jamaat in collective Taleem Tableeghi Jamaat Uses these Four Books.1.Muntakahab Ahadith 2.Fazail e Amaal 3. Hayatus Sahaba 4. Riyadhus Salehin.

4.Out of this Muntakhab Ahadith (Collection of Quranic Ayats and Authentic Ahadith and no Commentry/Stories) is very Popular.Many Places in India and allover the world are using Muntakhib Ahadith(collection of Quranic Ayah and Ahadith on Iman, Salat, Ilm O Zikr, Ikram E Muslim, Ikhlas E niyah,Dawat E Ilallah,and Tark e Layani. ) and Hayatus Sahaba.

6.Many of the Arabs who are doing this effort chose to read Riyadu-s-Saliheen instead, and they are carrying on with the work of Dawat-o-Tabligh.

1.It is a total misconception/allegation that Fazail-e-A’mal is the guide book of Tableegh Jama’at.
2.The concept of Tableegh Jama’at was not derived from this book, nor is thejama’at dependant on this book to do the work oftableegh.

3.They thought it necessary to stipulate such a book that would encourage people towards good deeds/Virtues of Emaan and Amaal e Saliha,thats why Fazail e Amaal book is used.

4However, it is not compulsory upon each an every person who joins this effort to read Fazail e Amaal. 

5.Many Places in India and allover the world are using Muntakhib Ahadith(collection of Quranic Ayah and Ahadith on Iman, Salat, Ilm O Zikr, Ikram E Muslim, Ikhlas E niyah,Dawat E Ilallah,and Tark e Layani. ) andHayatus Sahaba.

6.Many of the Arabs who are doing this effort chose to read Riyadu-s-Saliheen instead, and they are carrying on with the work of Dawat-o-Tabligh.

7. Therefore, it is totally incorrect to regard this book as the guide book of Tableegh Jama’at.

Come and understand it before making Allegation and confusing Muslims.

A brief introduction of Fazail e Amal:

Fadhail e Amaal book is a vast treasure of basic and fundamental Islamic teachings put together with great efforts by Maulavi Muhammad Zakariyya (Rah), one of the most distinguished scholar of Indian Subcontinent of Last century.

Maulana zakaria the writer has distinguish honour of teaching Bukhari Shareef for nearly 20 years. 
He is among those distinguished scholars who taught Hadith in Madeena Munawara for years.
It was his desire to take last breath in the blessed city of Madeena.Allah accepted his wish.His Janazah Prayer was done in Masjid e Nabwai and Buried in Jannatul Baqie.

Fazail e Amaal is a collection of 8 books and It is in two volumes. 

Volume1 comprise of Six books 

1.Stories of Sahaba (Hav 11 chaptors on sahabas quality of sacrifice of deen,love for Rasulullah,The Islamic qualities of women and children of that age etc.)
2. Virtues of Namaz (The Rewards Of Salaat, Warning And Reproach On Discard Of Salaat,  The Reward Of Jamaat , Warning And Reproach On Discarding Of Jamaat Importance Of Sincerity And Devotion In Salaat )

3. Virtues of Rememberance of Allah (Qur'anic Verses relating to Zikr, Section 2 Ahaadith on Zikr , VIRTUES OF KALIMAH TAYYABAH etc.)

4.Virtues of Quran E pak (Ahadith explaining the Importance of Quran E Pak and Reminder to muslim to inculcate and encourage its reading and teaching in personal and collective life)

5. Virtues of Tabligh (Calling towards Allah) (Quranic Ayats and Ahadith stressing the duty of muslims of Dawat and Tabligh and  Rectification on ummate muhammadia, Ahadith explaining the consequences of not doing the work of Dawat etc.)

6.Virtues of Ramzan (Having chaptors on importance and purpose of Ramzan and special topic about Lailatul Qadr)

7.The sixth book of Fazaile Amaal has been written by Maulana Ehtashamul Hasan and its title is “Muslim Degeneration And Its Only Remedy”


in which in very scholary manner he has discuused the present day downfall of muslims all over the world, has went into deep to search the causes in the light of Quran and Ahadith and accordingly has suggedted ways to rectify mistakes and way forward. From start to end it is based on Quranic ayats and Ahadith and it is an important book for all muslims irrespective of any Jammat and organization.



The Second Volume of Fazaile Amaal comprise of two large books
  1. Virtues of Charity (Having units on Spending in the path of Allah, Huquuqul Ibad with special refrence to parents,relatives and neighbours,and stories of pious persons like Malik bin Deenar (R.A) and Son of Harun Rasheed and others in this connection )
  2. Virtues of Hajj ( Having Units on virtues and warning of not doing it despite having resources, and stories of pious persons from past about doing Hajj.

  5. It is well known fact that Ahle Hadith Brothers of Indian subcontinent are against Fazail e Amaal
Here we are not discussing the validity or invalidity of  ...............Group Position.
What we simply want to say some Rational points of Justice.

  If..........................Group brothers are not satisfied with the supportive Quranic Ayats and Ahadith presented by great Majority of Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat Scholars then
instead of targetting Tablighi Jamaat/general muslims they should go to Madaris/Big Ulemas  and should present their point to them.

Ahle sunnat Ulemas  can be found everywhere. It is not a difficult thing to find them.I can suggest some of the Alim .

1.In India they can discuss Maulana Rabey Hasni Nadwi Lucknow, Maulana Saeed sb Deoband ,Maulana khalid saifullah Rahmani Hyderabad
2.In pakistan maulana Taqi Usmani,karachi,
3.In Arab Maulana Makki Al hajazi who daily give dars in Masjid e Haram after Magrib and after Isha.Rather he clearly emphatically present the position of Ahle sunnat Wal Jamaat on these issues.
4.And similarly an uncountable Aalims of this majority group of Ahle sunnat Wal Jamaat all over the world.


Arguing/confusing general muslims will not solve the issue.
If they are really serious on the issue they should consult Madarsa/ Alims.
TABLIGHI JAMAAT CANNOT DO MUCH TO SOLVE  THESE ISSUES

What I think it is wrong and unjustified to expect from Tablighi jamaat/Fazail e amaal/Maulana zakariya to solve these root cause of differences. 

This issue is outside their scope/jurisdiction/interference/authority.

If someone is expecting from them he is fooling himself and at the same time to others also. 
MAULANA ZAKARIA HAS Ahle sunnat (Sunni) position and  APPROACH
 Maulana zakaria the (author of FAZAIL E AMAAL) stand on all these issues according to the majority of muslims that is Ahle sunnat wal jamaat approach (that has difference with ...............Group approach). 


His approach is  broadly reflected in selection of stories in FAZAIL E AMAAL .
WHO CAN SOLVE THESE ISSUES
A. These differences are at much higher level among Ulemae e karam. On all these issues 90% of Scholars are on one side of Table while Salafi are on the other side.
B. If Ummat solves these broader issues the consequential differences can also be solved.
C. It is very important,novel but untouched area to work  between Ulmae Karam. If anyone want to do something for ummat it is a very good opportunity and area to work among scholars of Islam. It is broader and continuing issue that should be solved at higher level between scholars. Only big Ulemas and Madarsas representing salafi and sunnis can solve these issues.
[{(Before going further We would like to clarify a few Points..........................................
It is well known fact that Ahle Hadith Brothers of Indian subcontinent are against Fazail e Amaal.
They point out two reason for their Oppositio.
1. Issue of Corrupt/Wrong Aqeedah emerging from Aulia Allah stories.
Actually the basic reason is that There are some broader issue Between Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat Ulemas/Scholars. There is difference of opinion on certain issues among the majority of scholars of Ahle sunnat Wal Jamaat(Sunni) and present day Ulemas. 
These are
                 1.Karamat e Aulia
                 2. Waseela from Prophet Sallallahu  Alaihi Wasallam.
                 3.Level of Life of Prophet Sallallahu  Alaihi Wasallam in Grave.
                 4. Tasawwuf/Sufism/Tazkiya/Ihsan
On these issues the position of Some Ulemas are different from Majority of the the Great Scholars of Islam. 
Ahle sunnat wal jamaat has believe that Aulia Allah by will and power of Allah can perform something that is normally considered impossible.
A muslim believe that Karamat is totally under control of Allah. 

It is not related to the will or status of a person (Aulia Allah) .
It is by Allah will and not the Desire/status of person have much Role. 

Sometimes a person other than Prophet may get Kramat from Allah.

Eg:   Quran says that  Hazrat Mariyam used to get fruits without season and Prophet Zakaria was not getting,But it does not mean that she became bigger than Prophet.

Karamat/Maujazah may differ for same person at different time.

Yaqub Alaihissalam could not trace from the well of Kunan But By will of Allah he could smell the cloths of Yusuf Alaihissalam from far away Egypt.
So if you will see the Karamat e Aulia with Muslim vision you will find the greatness of Allah. 

Otherwise you may find something else if you consider that it has been done by the Aulia Allah, then it will become shirk,as Some of the groups are smelling Shirk in Aulia Allah Stories.

وَمِنْ أُصًولِ أَهْلِ السُّنَّةِ: التَّصْدِيقُ بِكَرَامَاتَ الأَوْلِيَاءِ وَمَا يُجْرِي اللهُ عَلَى أَيْدِيهِم مِّنْ خَوَارِقِ الْعَادَاتِ فِي أَنْوَاعِ الْعُلُومِ وَالْمُكَاشَفَاتِ وَأَنْوَاعِ الْقُدْرَةِ وَالتَّأْثِيرَات ، وَالمَاثُور  عَنْ سَالِفِ الأُمَمِ فِي سُورَةِ الْكَهْفِ وَغَيْرِهَا، وَعَنْ صَدْرِ هَذِهِ الأُمَّةِ مِنَ الصَّحَابَةِ وَالتَّابِعِينَ وَسَائِرِ فِرق الأُمَّةِ، وَهِيَ مَوْجُودَةٌ فِيهَا إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ ۔
The testimony of the Karamat (charismata) occurred by the Auliya (those righteous people who are close to Allah) also forms part of the principles of Ahlus-Sunnah, as also the testimony of all those extraordinary occurrences and habits which Allah manifests through them in terms of various knowledges, spiritual experiences, powers, and influences and those that are mentioned in the Qur'anic Surah Al Kahf etc. regarding former communities and about the initial period of the Sahaba and Taba'een of this Ummah till today and will continue to remain till the day of judgement.

2. Scond Issue by Ahle Hadith Brothers is about Weak Ahadith.
Almost all the Imam and Muhaddethin including Imam ul Hadith Imam Bukhari is agreed that Weak Ahadith can be used in Virtues of Amaal (Fazail e Amaal)/Manners/Tagheeb (Enjoing for good). Acoordingly in Fazaile E Amaal there are weak Ahadith also.

    Writer of Fazail e Amal

    Fazail e Amal was compiled by ShaikhulHadith Hazrath Muhammad Zakariya (Rahimahullah).He was a very high ranking Aalim and Muhaddith (Scholar of Hdith) and Musleh,  who has written……..books including one of the most markable commentary of Mauta Imam Malik with title of Ojazul Masalik which is Alhamdulillah in six volume,and has taught Bukhari Shareef for nearly 25 years in India and in Madeena Munawwara and commonly referred as Shaikhul Hadith. Some of his Hadith works include.
    1. Awjaz al-Masalik ila Muwatta’ Imam Malik: One of the most comprehensive commentaries on the Muwatta of Imam Malik in terms of the science of hadith, jurisprudence, and hadith explication.
    2. Al-Abwab wa ‘l-Tarajim li ‘l-Bukhari: An explanation of the chapter headings of Imam Bukhari’s Sahih al-Bukhari. Assigning chapter headings in a hadith collection is a science in itself, known among the scholars as al-abwab wa ‘l-tarajim [chapters and explanations].
    3. Juz’ Hajjat al-Wida’ wa ‘Umrat al-Nabi : A comprehensive Arabic commentary on the detailed accounts of the pilgrimage [hajj] of Allah’s Messenger.
    4. Khasa’il Nabawi Sharh Shama’il al-Tirmidhi: Composed in urdu, a commentary on Imam Tirmidhi’s renowned work al-Shama’il al-Muhammadiyya, a collection of hadiths detailing the characteristics of the Messenger. This commentary explains the various aspects related to the different characteristics and practices of Allah’s Messenger. It has been translated into English and is widely available.
    He was a prominent figure of scholary and spiritual personality of last century. He died in Madeena Munawwara on Monday Sha’ban 1, 1402 AH (May 24, 1982 CE) his prayer was held in Masjid e Nabwi and was buried in Jannat al-Baqi/Baqi e Garqad.

    Brief Objective of  Tablighi jamaat and its relation to Fazail E Amaal

    Tablighi jamaat is a movement meant whose objective can be summarized as 
    1. Rejuvenate the 'love for Deen' ie love and desire for Islamic way of life in the heart ,the noble way of hazrat Muhammad sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam.
    2. Strenthing the belief that success in this world and hereafter is only  in obeying deen the command of allah and following of hazrat Muhammad sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam in 24 hour of our life and in all walks of our life,
    3. Increasing the value and acceptability of  practical Sunnah of prophet.
    In simple words you can say that its object is to increase thirst among muslim to be a practicing muslim. To fill the muslim heart with the truth that his success and success of all human being is in following Quran and Hadith ie Deen.
    Fazail-e-amaal is simply the related extracts from the Quran and Ahadith collections to help in meeting these specific objective. The object of the book is to encourage the Muslims.It is a book to increase thirst of knowledge/knowledge seeking behavior so that we could seek it from proper sources of quran and Ahadith.
    With this objective, Fazail-e-amaal was written. It was not meant to be set of rulings on Islam. Pattern of Fazail e Amaal.
    The writer tarts topic with a specific pattern. He has divided each unit into topics and topic consists of related Aayaats of the Quran, Related Ahadith, Stories of the Sahabah and stories of the pious predecessors that explain the virtues of good deeds. And as the stories of Sahaba and of pious muslims (buzurgane deen) from past are inspirational example. So that stories are also there but not more than 5 -10 % of total content 

    The role and status of Fazail-e-A’mal in Tableegh Jama’at

You can confirm it from anywhere.................THOSE WHO ARE making this allegation their answer will come on the day of Qiyamah.......They should be ready with their answer for allegations)

    What fazail e amal is not.          It is not a book of.
    1. It is not not to explain any ruling of Shari’ah.(Masail).It doesn't contain Masa'il why because tabligh jamaat has people from all four Madhab (from different school of thoughts), so they might indulge in arguing with each other and it will not create a conductive situation. So for Masail they are advised to seek guidance from Muftis/Alims or authentic books of Alims on the subject.
    2. It is not a book of Aqeeda
    3. It is not a guide book for Tableeghi Jamaat.
    4. Tableeghi jamaat is not dependent on it. Even to meet its above mentioned objective it also has other books on virtues of  good deeds ie MUNTAKHAB AHADITH, RIYAZUSSALIHIN,HAYATUS SAHABA
    Why not Bukhari Shareef instead of Fazail e Amaal for collective Taleem

    The specific context for using fazail e amaal should not be forgotten that it is book of virtues of Amaal only. Some ill hearted brothers allege that tablighi people keep fazail e amaal above Bukhari Shareef. It is a baseless allegation and use of Fazail-e-amaal is not meant to discourage the reading of the Holy Quran or any other Ahadith book .(NAUZUBILLAH).We should be fearful from allah before alleging against any muslim fellow.(May Allah save us from sins).Whole ummate muslima is unanimous on the fact that Bukhari shareef is most authentic book of Hadith.In jamaat for collective taleem Bukhari shareef, is not used for simple reason that Bukhari shareef covers hadith related to a wide range of topics and not only about virtues of deed. As the stories of Sahaba and of pious buzurgane deen from past are inspirational example. So that stories are also there but not more than 5 -10 % of total content.And it has been clarified in Fazail E Amaal that stories are only of historical importance and to keep our attitude as modest in our lavish lives.

    Prophet Approach for education and Nurturing
    The first thing infused by prophet was to make them eager, keen and passionate for Deen and the knowledge of deen. Everyone was keen to learn the required Ilm for guidance. And those who has learned something considered it obligatory to teach others the same.

    Right from Beginning Prophet made a system with the foundation principles as
    Knowledge with Practice (Ilm ke saath Amal)
    Practice based on Knowledge (Amaal ke saath Ilm)
    Learning with teaching (Taleem with TAALLUM)
    The whole Islamic society was a practical kinetic (Mobile) seat of learning (Madarsa) in which everyone was seeker for himself (Taalib) and teacher for others. The lessons of this School were not used to be reinforced alone rather by interdependence i.e. trying to memorize others and in conveying deen to others This teaching used to get imprinted on heart rather than only tongue.
    To be precise lets understand that their lessons of swimming not to take on dry classes rather in in the river of life. It is very clear from Quran and Hadith that following is a parts and parcel of a Muslim life.
    1. To learn deen for oneself and to practice it in life.
    2. To Teach deen (Islamic Knowledge and Practice) to others
    3. Encouraging for good and advising to stop from bad
    4. Striving for the Spread and Propagation of deen. These all should be parts of a Muslim life.
    In the era of prophet and early generation of Muslim people of all walk of life i.e Farmers businessman rich or poor used to spare some time for learning and teaching deen.
    Temporary Migration Motivation and Striving for deen
    7. The migration and motivation, movement and striving for deen has to be revived. It is the fundamental structure of Islamic knowledge and service of prphet era, that structure has to be replicated and revived.
    8. Muslims should be encouraged to migrate temporarily (leave engagements for a short period). In this short period they should be provided with a practical religious environment following Sunnah and Shariat. This environment will make them familiar with a religious life to adopt.
    9. This basic skeleton of this environment will be built by accompanying fellows and further cemented by their effort to motivate other people of the area where they have gone and stationed.
    Migration and Motivation will be three way Process
    a. Between each member of the group through a bidirectional process. (In group some will be more knowlagable and some less they will learn knowledge and qualities from each other Wa Tawanu Alal birre wattaqwa.
    b. It will also motivate the people of the area where they have gone to learn deen and for service of deen. By this way it will become a chain and will bring revolution in Whole ummat.
    On the above mentioned points Maulana Ilyas has called each section of the Muslim Ummah to temporary leave their busy engagements for a short period of time and to utilize time for teaching and learning in a religious environment.”
